YEAH!
As in Ellen DeGeneres. She is going to replace Paula Abdul, who quit over pay related issues. I think Ellen is a good replacement for Paula, when you consider the kind of judge she could be. A bit wacky and out there. Plus Ellen is very close friends with Ryan, so they have a connection and Simon tends to go on Ellen's show promoting Idol, so they have a link too.
Ellen will start after the audition process because she only just signed up now

Ryan signed a deal, on par with Simon, for $45,000,000 to do three seasons!
Is he REALLY worth that much? I bet Kathy would have done it for $4,500 and her own dressing room stocked with Kit-Kats!
I haven't watched Idol for a few seasons but definitely will with Ellen on. So it is polarizing some views but is a smart move to get people into the show. I just wish Ellen's show was aired over in the UK again 
It used to be on at 6am and the broadcaster wondered why nobody was watching!
